How the ranking works
The ranking is paid. Here we briefly explain what it is ordered by and what happens to a refunded payment.
This page only explains how we work out the ranking and is not binding. The terms and conditions are binding.
Only the sum of payments counts
The ranking is set only by the sum of the amounts we have credited to an entry. The higher the sum, the higher the entry. Quality, reviews and anything else play no part. The money goes to the operator of the ranking, not to the listed entity.
On a tie, the older entry is higher
If two entries have the same sum, the one to which we credited the first payment earlier is higher.
All time and Today
The All time ranking adds up every credited payment for as long as the entry has existed.
The Today ranking adds up only the payments counted today, that is since midnight Prague time. A payment counts at the moment we credit it, not on the day it left the bank. For a new entity that we are still approving, the payment counts only at the moment of approval, because until then the entry is not visible. Here too, on a tie the older entry is higher. If an entry goes back to approval and we approve it again, for example a sole trader after their consent is renewed, its whole total counts in Today once more, at the moment of the new approval.
Refunded payments and disputes
When the bank reverses a payment, or when we refund it after a withdrawal from the contract, the sum of the entry goes down by that payment. Withdrawal is possible only until the entry is published (Article 7 of the terms), so a withdrawal never changes a published sum. When we hide an entry or do not approve it, it disappears from the ranking and we refund the money under the terms. When a payer disputes a card payment with their bank, that alone does not change the sum of the entry.
Filters
The ranking can be narrowed down by the country, region and district of the registered office (in Prague by city district), by category (field), by type of entity (companies, or clubs, associations and non-profits) and by size, that is the number of employees as stated in the register. The same rule applies within a selection, and places are numbered from one. The category and the type cannot be bought.
The CZK 35 step and the CZK 35 minimum
The smallest payment is CZK 35 and the largest CZK 99,999 per payment. An order on the site is always in whole crowns; a payment we credit by hand, such as a transfer from abroad, is credited at the amount that actually arrived, hellers included.
We work out the price for a place offered on the site as the sum of the entry now in that place plus CZK 35, rounded up to whole crowns, less what your entry already has. If CZK 35 is enough to overtake, we offer CZK 35; it is never less.
The step is only a suggestion, so that a single payment is reliably enough. You can pay any amount within these limits, and only the sum the entry then has decides its place.
Who can pay
Anyone aged at least 18 and with full legal capacity can pay for any entity that is allowed in the ranking. You do not need to have anything to do with the entity. Political parties and movements, churches and religious societies, the state, regions, municipalities and their organisations cannot be listed, nor can entities with an unsuitable name or activity. We publish a sole trader only with their consent. We approve a new entity before publishing it; if it pays for itself from an account in its own name, we publish it straight away. The details are in Articles 2 and 7 of the terms.
It is advertising, not a rating
Places in the ranking are bought. It is paid advertising, not a rating, a review or a recommendation of the entity, its products or services, and it says nothing about quality. No position is guaranteed: anyone can pay more at any time.
